fainted while singing

fainted while singing?
today i was practiceing a solo im doing for chorus at lunch i had just ate. but i was in the middle of the song, and its a very hight piched song. i felt fine durring the first half of the song i was smileing and having fun it was very sudden and i got kinda dizzy. and i couldnt really see. cuz it was all black. , i just stoped singing. and fell down on the floor. i woke up with my friend who is also singing part of that song. and my teacher, trying to see if i was fine, i just wanted to lie there. my musels felt weak. i am only 13. i know that it is pretty common so i wasnt to scared. but i was imbaresed, they anted me to go to the nurse but our nurse is a jerk. so i refused. insted i laid on the risers. after about an hour, i felt completly fine, and then played in a soccer gamme and was fine, whhat do you think about all this??? is this common to faint while, singing? should i continue to do the solo? do you think it will happen again? btw i dont know why the font is like this sorry.

It was probably because of poor breathing technique. Breathing is an EXTREMELY important part of singing. You should learn to breathe from the diaphragm, not the lungs, and learn when to breathe (in a song). Ask any singers you know, or search the web for more info.

This can usually happen when the high pitched sound pinches the nerve in your brain causing your brain to over work and then stop and display an effect of Light - Headed. Don't worry I play the Piano and violin and get Light-headed sometimes. :)
