KSA employed a lot of maids from Indonesia, Philippine, and Sri Lanka. I have read the sources from www.arabnews.com about "Indonesia maid." It sadden my heart that these girls went overseas to work. But unluckily end up with a douchebag, who treat them like nothing!

yes i agree with the sources . most filipina women are working in middle east as nurses and domestic helpers . it is because firstly it is very easy to land there . it is double or even triple to the money we earn from our country . there is no tax , most filipinos are working there . and the result is we do not feel much homesickness . there are foods filipinino dishes . filipino channel . no much descriminations . some are not lucky . but i think we could have the same fate in our country if we have employer like these em[ployers abroad.

here, most reasoned that it is better to take a risk and die than to die here doing nothing with eyes opened because of "starvation" (of which I don't know exactly what it is as it may mean starvation for extra food, material wealth, dignity0 I asked a sort of this question in Mideast category on why do this rich arabs take housemaid when there wives do nothing at home and why not just marry a 2nd to 4th wife and be treated justly if the household needed additional manpower. Dear everyone need money for their families and future, that's why they travel to Saudi Arabia because they have good salaries here, but the problem they dont' know about Arab people how they are crazy about sex, and trying to use their maids for their own abuse, it's not their fault to come over here and work it's fault these arab people who dont' respect or think about them so they can feel good to work here. Because they could hardly find any job in their own country. If they can, the pay is not even enough to support himself/herself , much more of the members of the family. Actually, the Filipinos are the biggest wage earner from aboard that send money back home. Government is happy, because they need such money to buy commodities from abroad. Without those dollars and foreign currencies Filipinos are sending home, those businessmen and frequent travelers will have a hard time to buy foreign currencies! If only the government will be really serious and work hard to find ways to open job for these Filipinos at home, they could easily do that because the Philippines has all those necessary resources and talents needed. AS YOU ALREADY said here, not only Filipinos are going to SKA but also from Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh or India. I am pretty much sure because I am presently an OFW meaning an overseas Filipino worker. So I can thoroughly answer your question with properly prospective. NOT ALL FILIPINOS who go overseas to Saudi are maid and nurses only. There are also SKILLED WORKERS like mason, carpenter, electrician, heavy equipment mechanics etc....doctors and engineers. So who said nurses and maid are the only profession Saudi needs. And since you only read it sometimes what they write is not what really happening in the real world. MAID is one of the basic profession PHILIPPINES have plenty of. There are more women in the Philippines without jobs or even if they are working in the Philippines their salary is so small you NEED A MAGNIFYING GLASS to see it. And the salary cannot even raise a family in a decent way so others think of becoming a MAID in Saudi which is double the salary a woman is receiving in the Philippines. So the same goes to the Philippines NURSES, the salary is also the problem. Even if one nurse find a job in the Philippines her salary cannot even buy her a decent duty shoes. Most of the shoes of nurses make them last for 3 years. Imagine one shoes for 3 years can you beat that? I know because I married to one nurse. I already notice that the white color is not anymore white but dirty white because of many years of usage. And the shape of the shoes is not anymore looking like a shoes but a truck that hit a wall 20x. This is how hard to be a nurse whether in the Philippines or abroad. SO NOW I THINK YOU KNOW WHY. Any genital cutting or slicing should be illegal male or female(Except for religious reasons). It is just as bad to circumcise a boy as it is a girl because they serve the same purpose. Nothing. Around the world, people think that it is disgusting when they hear about an uncircumcised male but jump to ban female circumcisions.
