Hill's Prescription Diet A/D Question

Hill's Prescription Diet A/D Question ????
Hello everyone! I have tons of questions to ask!The other day I have found a stray that had kittens. This stray has been around, and she never looked pregnant.I remember seeing her around, and she seemed skinny. The stray is pretty young! I can tell because she is pretty small.Well looking at kittens they seem really tiny, and I am a little worried.Today I went to the pet store to buy food for the cat. The first thing I bought was kitten food by Schesir. Then the girl that worked at the counter told me to get Hill's Prescription Diet A/D (caned food), and Solo by DRN. The girl told me that this stuff is full of protein, and energy.I thought okay I will get it because it seems like what the stray needs.I know that I should ask the vet,but I decided to first ask here. How much food should I give to a young skinny nursing cat that lives outside?Should I give first the Hill's A/D,and then Solo?Plus how long should I give it to her, and can I give it to her with other food at the same time?

you need to mix the 2 foods together as you can't change food back and forth with animals as there digestive system can't handle it.

Hi What is true is that ad is a bit calorie intensive. What is also true is that it is horrible food and not necessarily good calories. This is not food a cat should eat I am glad it is canned food You do not need kitten foo eithe You didn't mention how old the kitten are, If under 6 weeks they need mothers miulk or special formula http://www.kittenrescue.org/handbook.htm If over 6 weeks they should all be eating the same thing. Quality canned foods Thank you so much for rescuing Here is some info and good links Nutrition since there are so many bad things out there is very important to your cat’s health Contrary to what you may have heard; dry foods are not a great thing to feed a cat. Please read the label on what you are feeding? What are the ingredients? Do you know what they mean? Is the first ingrdiant a muscle meat like chicken or meal or other things? http://www.catinfo.org/#Learn_How_To_Read_a_Pet_Food_Ingredient_Label Dry foods are the number 1 cause of diabetes in cats as well as being a huge contributing factor to kidney disease, obesity, crystals, u.t.i’s and a host of other problems. Food allergies are very common when feeding dry foods. Rashes, scabs behind the tail and on the chin are all symptoms The problems associated with Dry food is that they are loaded with grfains and carbohydrates which many cats (carnivores) cannot process them. Also, Most of the moisture a cat needs is suppose to be in the food but in Dry, 95% of it is zapped out of dry foods in the processing. Another thing, most use horrible ingredients and don't use a muscle meat as the primary ingredient and use vegetable based protein versus animal. Not good for an animal that has to eat meat to survive. You want to pick a canned food w/o gravy (gravy=carbs) that uses a muscle meat as the first ingredient and doesn't have corn at least in the first 3 ingredients if at all. Fancy feast is a middle grade food with 9lives, friskies whiskas lower grade canned and wellness and merrick upper grade human quality foods. Also, dry food is not proven to be better for teeth. Does a hard pretzel clean your teeth or do pieces of it get stuck? http://www.felinefuture.com/nutrition/bpo_ch4a.php Please read about cat nutrition. http://www.newdestiny.us/nutritionbasics.html http://www.catinfo.org/feline_obesity.htm http://maxshouse.com/feline_nutrition.htm#Dry_Food_vs_Canned_Food.__Which_is_reall

A/D is not suitable for long term feeding. Your best bet is high protein low carb non vet food, ranging from fancy feast up to wellness. For more info including a list of acceptable commercial foods, see www.catinfo.org

You are qualified to enter the crap shoot for all these colleges, and you'll probably have a 20% chance at each of them. You're a senior now, so there's nothing you can "add" to your application that would actually improve it. If you get rejected from all those colleges, you might choose to either take a gap year and go abroad saving children in Africa or take a post-graduate year at a prep school, applying again after that year.

You definitely have a chance - just don't put all your hopes into one or two schools. Those 2 only admit about 7% of the applicants. Go to collegeboard.com or princetonreview.co, and find a few other places that are already accepting students with your qualifications. In addition to Princeton and Cornell, apply to at least three of the 'likely to admit' and make sure one of them is in your state system [finances have a funny way of sabotaging plans]. That way you have some choices when those skinny and fat envelopes start arriving. Also do not fail to consider small liberal arts colleges - they are your ticket into outstanding 'name school' grad programs.

you have an average chance at cornell and a below average chance at princeton. everything you do is boring and average. that SAT is also weak; retake and try to get it to 2200+. i'm going to say with a 2200, cornell would be in reach but princeton is not. i hope your rank is high. as for other schools, try univ of virginia, unc chapel hill, emory, berkeley, and one or 2 safeties.

yes you can. It's faster if you just dedicate your time to it, but it can be done on even just weekends.
