well, I dont think u should generalise a religion. there are black spots in all religions. howeverat the same time you cannot ignore these facts. At this time, when the whole community is under attack because of some fanatics, the muslim liberals should also come out. It is important, and it is unfortunately becoming necessary as there is the danger of all the muslims becoming typecast. Urm..dear sir..how do u know that the person who killed the children (christian in indonesia) was muslim? did the television show u the process of the killing, no right? dont just the tele tell u this and that u took it by heart. I think you make a fabulous point! I am NOT Muslim however, I had to take a class on world religions in college and I just wanted to share with you what I learned. The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)-(note the verse number) Koran (9:11 ) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace!

They usually point out a few Americanized Muslim cleric's voicing concern about these things but fail to realize if Muslims reacted to all these insidious crimes by Muslims GLOBALLY like they did with those stupid cartoons of Muhammad - if they with one voice condemned with outrage these beheadings THEN the world might be convinced Islam was really a religion of peace. I think that before we spek to this problem we should all take a serious look at all of todays religions. Questions to be answered: 1. What religion spreads through violent behavior? 2. Out of all of todays conflics, what religion is at the heart of most. 3. What religion teaches peace and is based upon 1500 years of written history. I don't think a paragraph on this forum is going to set any record straight. Smarter people have spent lives trying to reconcile the religions of the world and we are still we are where we are. Christ said who ever is innocent he should cast the first stone. So lets see if we can blame all the Muslims and Islam for the actions of a few and we can say that the Quran tells Muslims to kill Christians and Jews, then lets also blame all Christians for the actions of the few bad one and Christianity as well. Lets also look at the Bible about how it tells Christians that the Jews killed Christ and what sort of persecution that engenders. Also the Talmud Tractate Sanhedrin 107b says that “Jesus performed magic and incited the people of Israel and led them astray.†According to these Jewish texts, Jesus was executed for religious crimes and offenses that mattered to Jews. But wait before everyone starts getting defensive my point is not to blame everyone or point out the negative. My point is that everything comes with the good and the bad. Christianity has helped millions, heck billions of people around the world and over time. It has improved the human condition and so has Judaism. Believe it or not so has Islam. Remember the dark ages, when Europe was nothing but a back water of the world. All the enlightenment and learning and tolerance was actually in the Islamic world. Heck Baghdad isn't called the cradle of civilization for no reason. In Europe however, people were burned at the stake for opposing the church, later still protestants were persecuted, Spanish inquisition and much more. Not really much point in listing all that. And now that the enlightenment is centered in a different part of the world we go throwing aspersions on the rest of the world. Here is what history teaches us. If you get arrogant and lazy and begin to consider yourself better than others. You are on the express train to oblivion. The Romans thought all those who weren't from rome were 'barbarians', the Nazi’s thought all those who were not from them were lesser than them. I guess those barbarians showed those Romans and those playboy yanks showed those superior race folks. Not so long ago the general idea was that women weren't as smart or as capable. Even lesser time ago the idea was the blacks were somehow less than human. You see where I am going. If you pass a simple judgment that those people are just crazy or evil you are actually weakening yourself.

As a person from a developing nation who is moving to the west, would you consider Japan instead?
As most are aware, Japan is begining to slowly lighten its immagration laws as the population ages. Many people from Indonesia for example are moving to Japan to become nurses, along with Japan being just as developed as the west. If you were/are a person moving to a developed country from a developing country in Asia would you consider Japan over the major western nations such as Australia, New Zealand, UK, US and Canada? On the account that the airfares would most likely be cheaper aswell then flying to any western country. Yes there it may be harder to fit into Japanese society then say in Australia where it is already very multicutural but ignoring all that, purely down to quailty of life...would you choose Japan over the west?

'Soon after the four U.S. "civilian contractors" died in Fallujah, it became obvious they weren't "civilians" at all. All four were trained commandos--at least three had years of experience in elite U.S. military units. They were working for the private mercenary army called "Blackwater USA." All were heavily armed. One carried a Department of Defense ID card. The official story is that these heavily armed mercenaries were in Fallujah to "protect food shipments." But that day, there were no "food shipments" in sight. The Marines had just gone door-to-door arresting men for interrogation--and so there has been speculation in Fallujah that these commandos were on a mission to capture or assassinate people fingered as part of the resistance.'

Perhaps the real conspiracy behind the Obama Birth Certificate is that he actually IS a bona fide natural-born citizen of Hawaii PRETENDING not to be one, littering the world with false clues to distract the rabid right. While birthers are endless debating the nuances of Kenyan translations and Hawaiian registry law, perusing newspapers from 1961, going door-to-door in Honolulu looking for 80-year old obstetricians and nurses, combing class notebooks from Indonesia, and analyzing watermarks while a motley crew of lawyers who barely agree on what conspiracies they actually subscribe to file competing suits across the country, Obama and his team are snickering in the lunch room. "Is it time to show the seal on the short form? My home scanner did a great job of muddying out the type and flattening the folds." "Tell Gates to rescind Major Cook's orders and watch them think we're on the run." Pure entertainment value for them. They're confidant that it's really a non-issue that will make the Republican Right look like buffoons for another 6 months or more. Is this the REAL conspiracy? Some of the more intelligent conservatives are beginning to think so. I erred in not pointing out the obvious sarcasm in this question. By the way, I have been a registered Republican since long before many of you were born. I am NOT a Liberal. I am, however, convinced that people should 1. Look at source documents, 2. Stop parroting partisans on either side, and 3. think for themselves. I used to believe Americans were intelligent enough to do so. I still have hope.

If there were any truth or evidence remotely challenging Obama's eligibility, the civil suits would have been filed the minute he became the Dem's nominee. Perhaps the real conspiracy behind the Obama Birth Certificate is that he actually IS a bona fide natural-born citizen of Hawaii PRETENDING not to be one, littering the world with false clues to distract the rabid right. While birthers are endless debating the nuances of Kenyan translations and Hawaiian registry law, perusing newspapers from 1961, going door-to-door in Honolulu looking for 80-year old obstetricians and nurses, combing class notebooks from Indonesia, and analyzing watermarks while a motley crew of lawyers who barely agree on what conspiracies they actually subscribe to file competing suits across the country, Obama and his team are snickering in the lunch room. "Is it time to show the seal on the short form? My home scanner did a great job of muddying out the type and flattening the folds." "Tell Gates to rescind Major Cook's orders and watch them think we're on the run." Pure entertainment value for them. They're confidant that it's really a non-issue that will make the Republican Right look like buffoons for another 6 months or more. Is this the REAL conspiracy? Some of the more intelligent conservatives are beginning to think so. I erred in not pointing out the obvious sarcasm in this question. By the way, I have been a registered Republican since long before many of you were born. I am NOT a Liberal. I am, however, convinced that people should 1. Look at source documents, 2. Stop parroting partisans on either side, and 3. think for themselves. I used to believe Americans were intelligent enough to do so. I still have hope.

I think you might be onto something. While there might be a lunatic fringe on both sides of the isle, this situation highlights a minority group of right wing nut jobs. Thus, it casts the GOP in an unflattering light. By the way, his birth certificate has been released. the right refuses to acknowledge it for some reason. I am pretty sure there is nothing you could possibly do to get them to take the tin foil hats off at this point.

He is paying a lot of someone's money to prevent releasing his long form original birth certificate. Are we supposed to believe he is doing this to "punk" the country, and that any minute now, Ashton Kutcher is going to come out of hiding and laugh at everyone? THAT is a stretch.

Dude, Obama doesn't care about this stuff. Hawaii has verified his birth there. BTW, why do the Right constant lie about Obama taking pains to "seal' is birth certificate? No one has to seal their birth certificate, transcripts, medical record, etc. They are sealed by law.

ll other issues aside, Barack is one of us because his mom was a full blown AMERICAN CITIZEN. Nobody has denied that absolute FACT! I bring this up because American law is clear on this issue.....if you have a single parent who IS an American citizen, it doesn't matter where on Earth, the moon or in what parallel universe you're born...YOU are an AMERICAN CITIZEN!!! In fact, it doesn't even matter if you don't have a birth certificate...all that matters is that one of your parents has citizenship. Barack's mom was an AMERICAN, so therefore our president is also a natural born citizen of our country. Please pass the word on this!

This whole "Obama's not an American" gambit has gone from hilarious to ok give it up. He is an American by birth and all of those who disagree ought to be embarrassed at their lack of intelligence. If Obama really was born in another country, the Clinton machine would have blown his cover in the primaries. Our President was born in our country under our laws. He is one of us.

I like your last line, but hope is dwindling, too many people listen to talk radio and mistake opinions of the people for "facts" and they never go farther than that. If you only get your information from one source, then you are going to make many many false assumptions. Whether you agree or not, people really should listen to both sides of an issue, so as to make a somewhat informed decision. People are all too willing to let someone else do their thinking and then claim whatever ideology is being spouted as their own without really knowing what the hell they are even talking about. But to get off my original rant and actually answer the birther conspiracy joke, it is hard not laugh at the stupidity of it all, even Bill O'Reilly said he was convinced Obama's citizenship was valid. Do these people really think the US Gov't didn't examine his records when it became apparent he was going to be in national politics? And how about the DNC, before throwing their weight behind him wouldn't you think he would have been thoroughly investigated? To these people I would advise they actually find some issues to be concerned with (for a change). Why waste time on such a stupid thing, unless that is all they are capable of focusing on.

The birth certificate issue is a non-sequituer issue. If there were any truth or evidence remotely challenging Obama's eligibility, the civil suits would have been filed the minute he became the Dem's nominee.
