It's not all academics. You also need forceps.

Your academic credentials are fantastic! If you don't know your class rank (or if your school doesn't rank), that's fine. You should know where you stand in your class (Do you typically get the highest scores on tests in your classes, or are your more the middle-of-the-road?). I think you should look into where kids with similar scores from your school have gone in previous years. Let's look at this individually: 1) Your GPA is excellent. An unweighted GPA above 3.8 is awesome, especially if you take hard classes! 2) Your class rigor seems to be very high, so that, combined with a high GPA, looks excellent. Your academic standards are awesome. 3) Your SAT/ACT score, sadly, will be a big factor in determining what colleges you can go to. Getting a 2400 is by NO MEANS necessary. However, you are going to need a 2000+ or 30+. Ideally, try your BEST to get a 33+ or 2200+. If you can do that, you will be in for smooth sailing :). Do not let standardized tests overwhelm you, but make sure they won't hurt you in the admissions process. 4) Your extracurriculars are great! They show great leadership and potential, so I think you should emphasize your medical interests. So let's look at your schools. You will EASILY get into Hardin-Simmons. Don't even fret about that...it is a safety school for you. Wake Forest, with a 2000 SAT score, is a match for you but leaning towards a safety still. If you get a 2200+ score, you are in no problem. Rice and Bowdoin are much more difficult, but armed with a competitive SAT score, good recommendations, and a unique essay you will be in with a VERY good chance. Also, I suggest you add some higher reaches to your list, such as Brown, Cornell. and Duke. These schools are very hard to get into and are much more "score-based" than your others, but if you get a good SAT/ACT score I would definitely apply. My last piece of advice is about the SAT. Do not stress about it! I got a 193 on the PSATs (which is good but I wasn't happy). With a little preparation I got a 2320 on the actual SAT. Do not get down on yourself...you are evidently a brilliant person and you have so much to be proud of. Enjoy the rest of your time in high school, because it really does fly by.

I bet you know that your academic standards are excellent and because of that you should have the confidence to enter in Hardin - Simmons,Wake Forest,Rice,or even Bowdoin so whatever or wherever you choose to go it's all up to you cause everything falls into your hands. To help you get your confidence back, lets try to look into some things that you have given to me cause I bet all of these do qualify, Things that you have accomplished: 1)You just said to us that your extra curriculars are all great! and you also added that you took a class called Basic Medical Practice, so why not take up medical school! 2)Your GPA is excellent. An unweighted GPA above 3.8 is awesome, especially if you take hard classes! Few people have GPA's like you! 3)Well it is sad to hear that you haven't taken up the SAT/ACT,still you made a way by learning in ACT so that a good news for you! 4) Your class rigor needs to be very high, so that, combined with a high GPA, it will turn out to be excellent. So getting into schools like Hardin-Simmons wont be hard for you.My advice to you for now is that you should enjoy your time while it lasts cause time is gold and we use gold to provide our needs and our main need is our happiness that's all! I bet you could get in it with your abilities and talents getting in would be easy just have fun and do well.
