U can't judge a person until u met them personally, what i believe. May be she was in contact with u just for fun like timepass. She showed no interest in ur life. Many persons on net make friends, even some feel that they fall in love. But how can u fall in love on net.Love has now become fashion. Then also somewhere in ur mind remains that person u r talking too is really ur best friend or soulmate. Just live ur life happily and don't think about her.

Should Neal Boortz put out a new version of 'No Muslim Outrage'

Should Neal Boortz put out a new version of 'No Muslim Outrage'?
You might remember his original one: Muslim outrage huh. OK ... let's do a little historical review. Just some lowlights: Muslims fly commercial airliners into buildings in New York City. No Muslim outrage. Muslim officials block the exit where school girls are trying to escape a burning building because their faces were exposed. No Muslim outrage. Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia. A Christian school. No Muslim outrage. Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Muslim children in Iraq. No Muslim outrage. Muslims murder over 80 tourists with car bombs outside cafes and hotels in Egypt. No Muslim outrage. A Muslim attacks a missionary children's school in India. Kills six. No Muslim outrage. Muslims slaughter hundreds of children and teachers in Beslan, Russia. Muslims shoot children in the back. No Muslim outrage. Let's go way back. Muslims kidnap and kill athletes at the Munich Summer Olympics. No Muslim outrage. Muslims fire rocket-propelled grenades into schools full of children in Israel. No Muslim outrage. Muslims murder more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses. Over 700 are injured. No Muslim outrage. Muslims massacre dozens of innocents at a Passover Seder. No Muslim outrage. Muslims murder innocent vacationers in Bali. No Muslim outrage. Muslim newspapers publish anti-Semitic cartoons. No Muslim outrage Muslims are involved, on one side or the other, in almost every one of the 125+ shooting wars around the world. No Muslim outrage. Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge. No Muslim outrage. Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed. Muslims are outraged. Dead children. Dead tourists. Dead teachers. Dead doctors and nurses. Death, destruction and mayhem around the world at the hands of Muslims .. no Muslim outrage ... but publish a cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb in his turban and all hell breaks loose. Come on, is this really about cartoons? They're rampaging and burning flags. They're looking for Europeans to kidnap. They're threatening innkeepers and generally raising holy Muslim hell not because of any outrage over a cartoon. They're outraged because it is part of the Islamic jihadist culture to be outraged. You don't really need a reason. You just need an excuse. Wandering around, destroying property, murdering children, firing guns into the air and feigning outrage over the slightest perceived insult is to a jihadist what tailgating is to a Steeler's fan. I know and understand that these bloodthirsty murderers do not represent the majority of the world's Muslims. When, though, do they become outraged? When do they take to the streets to express their outrage at the radicals who are making their religion the object of worldwide hatred and ridicule? Islamic writer Salman Rushdie wrote of these silent Muslims in a New York Times article three years ago. "As their ancient, deeply civilized culture of love, art and philosophical reflection is hijacked by paranoiacs, racists, liars, male supremacists, tyrants, fanatics and violence junkies, why are they not screaming?" Indeed. Why not?

They managed to muster 3 muslims to protest in front of the liberal hero "the underwear bomber." They were protesting that they do not condone islamic beliefs being misused in this manner.
3 :
I've MET Boortz here in Atlanta. He's a heckuva nice guy.
4 :
Can anyone explain WHY the United States is letting this happen on our own homeland in New York?? Even my own local representive of government can't explain this to me! Not even 0bama can explain it! Seems to me, our Government is a failure to reconize something IS actually happening on US soil!
5 :
Profiling Muslims is nonsense, nonsense NOT to Profile. Muslims where protesting at the arraignment for the panty bomber. Said the extremist are not what the faith is all about. Maybe they are starting to come forth to denounce the jihadist. Remember it is an oppressed religion, many are just finding the freedom to come forward to denounce the jihadist. God Bless America

Why is it okay for blacks to be racist, write books about it, get elected President...but whites can't

Why is it okay for blacks to be racist, write books about it, get elected President...but whites can't?
If a white candidate for President wrote in his books anti black sentiments, would he/she be elected? From 'Dreams of My Father', "I CEASED TO ADVERISE MY MOTHER'S RACE AT THE AGE OF12 OR 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites" From Dreams of My Father, " I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER'S RACE". From 'Dreams of my Father', "The emotion between the races could never be pure..... the THE OTHER RACE (WHITE) WOULD ALWAYS REMAIN JUST THAT: MENACING, ALIEN AND APART" From Dreams Of My Father, "never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. IT WAS INTO MY FATHER'S IMAGE , THE BLACK MAN, THE SON OF AFRICA, THAT I'D PACKED ALL THE ATTRIBUTES I SOUGHT IN MYSELF. From Dreams Of My Father: "THAT HATE HADN'T GONE AWAY," he wrote, BLAMING WHITE PEOPLE,- SOME CRUEL, SOME IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives." From Dreams Of My Father; "There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, TO SHOW YOUR LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT, and name names" From Dreams Of My Father, "I had grown accustomed, everywhere, to SUSPICIONS BETWEEN THE RACES.." Quote from Barack Obama's book, Dreams Of My Father: "The person who made me proudest of all, though, was [half brother] Roy .. He converted to Islam." From 'Dreams of my Father', "In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school" "I studied the Koran.." From 'Audacity of Hope: "Lolo (Obama's step father) followed a brand of Islam ...."I looked to Lolo for guidance". From 'The Audacity Of Hope, "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." From The Audacity Of Hope, "We are no longer just a Christian nation," "We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers."

because whites controlled this land for over 200 years

7 :
White people can do all of those things and still get elected. However, a white person would never get enough votes if they did those things. And Obama is not racist. And some of those quotes are not even about race. They are about religion. Moron.
8 :
It is the way of socialism.
9 :
First, way to take quotes out of contenxt to spin them to fit your agenda. Second, who says it's okay for blacks to be racist? Traditionally, blacks have had more of a reason to be wary of white individuals for obvious reasons. But the thing is that racism towards white people rarely translates into anything. There were no laws against white inidividuals, whites never had to worry about feeling less than since they dominated every field and made up the majority of the US population. Racism toward minorities actually causes real discrimination. You have to be blind to not be able to see that.
10 :
Odd. No racism in any of these quotes. Mentioning one's race isn't racism. Speaking of one's race isn't racism. Talking about how racism affected YOU isn't racism.

Has anyone read Obama's book

Has anyone read Obama's book?
it is full of hatred: Quote from Barack Obama’s book, Dreams Of My Father: “The person who made me proudest of all, though, was [half brother] Roy .. He converted to Islam.” From ‘Dreams of my Father’, “In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school” “I studied the Koran..” rom ‘Audacity of Hope: “Lolo (Obama’s step father) followed a brand of Islam ….”I looked to Lolo for guidance”. From ‘The Audacity Of Hope, “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” From The Audacity Of Hope, “We are no longer just a Christian nation,” “We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.” From Dreams of My Father, ” I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER’S RACE”. From ‘Dreams of my Father’, “The emotion between the races could never be pure….. the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart.” From The Audacity Of Hope, “We are no longer just a Christian nation,” “We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.” From Dreams of My Father, ” I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER’S RACE”. You are still wet behind the ears, beat it punk! And hey 13 yo " " marks are quotations. It's usually a proper way to show they are the exact words of the individual making those statements. I cannot believe you didn't cover that in 1st grade english! You must be one of the "special ed" kids.....know what that means, boy?

I will never read anything by Obama. Urgh. That liberal! He hates America! He only wants to run America so he can bring us down.

good job quoting out of context. btw u know when you buy that book and quote from it you're funding obama...
3 :
I swear I just read this question... get a life!
4 :
I'm waiting to find it on a table in a Garage sale for 25 cents.
5 :
Yes and I think he had audacity to write the damn book. America, these quotes given here are a great insight into this danger called Obama!
6 :
I am willing to bet you haven't read it and got these out of context quotes from some website and/or spam mail. Makes ya luk smart tho
7 :
I read Audacity of Hope and you've blown these excerpts out of proportion...I found nothing racist throughout the text.
8 :
I'm thirteen and yes, I've read both of them. Why'd you put ".."? He spent two years at a Muslim school. So? There are Muslims who go to Christian private schools. That doesn't mean they are Christian. Same case here. Why'd you put "..."? He was talking about ONE issue not all. That's true we are a nation full of different religions. Got a problem? Then get out! Because the rest of his family was African American. That means there will always be racists. That's pretty sad that a teen had to explain that to you.
9 :
Thanks you just gave Obama the American Muslim vote. At the rate you are going, you could get a job in McCain's advisory staff.
10 :
On page 254 of Audacity of Hope he calls Jews KIKES! Now that was changed in the audio books! He revised out all the things that would hurt him, that is why his first additions are harder to find!
11 :
Yes I read his books. I really didn't care much for them. Meaningless dribble.
12 :
I doubt you've read his books. You're just passing on some of that good ol' Republican propaganda. You really should read them. You would then realize how brilliant he is and how good he would be for this country. Instead, you offer passages that have been abbreviated, truncated and taken out of context. I don't think McCain has even written a book. Obama for America!
13 :
no sense in it, he lies to himself, he doesn't need my money, I'll pass
14 :
Dem's use "snippets" to put Bush down, check out David Letterman every night, but that seems to be okay to do to a white man, but God help us if we take "snippets" to show a black man. I guess I need to sign up for the Black Liberation college to "really" understand who I "really" am.
15 :
And there are many more quotes Obama supporters wish you wouldn't share.

Why don't Obama followers listen to what Obama is actually saying

Why don't Obama followers listen to what Obama is actually saying?
“In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school” “I studied the Koran..” "I exercised bad judgement" said Obama when answering questions about his dealings and acceptance of contributions from slum lord, real estate scam artist, money launderer Tony Rezko. "I found solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against.......(white people). "I didn't have time" said Obama when asked why he did not even convene one time either of the two sub commitees in the US Senate he is Chairman of. Sources: 1. Dreams From My Father 2. CNN 3. 2 :
They have eyes, but they cannot see They have ears, but they cannot hear
3 :
Because those followers just listen to the "hopes", "change" and false promises. Sad, sad state if you ask me.
4 :
Because of his color. Plain and simple. I'm guessing there is a good majority of African Americans who have never voted before and are simply voting because this is their chance to kick whitey out of office and have somebody of their own kind. They're only seeing his outward appearance. They don't care what he's saying.
5 :
Because they are in a DAZE!
6 :
cause his followers are black and they just want a black president
7 :
you have to have something above the brain stem for that to happen.
8 :
They just like to look at him...he is sooo dreamy, & talks soooo pretty, don't ya think?? I heard him, loud & clear. I won't be voting for him, & I don't want to hear more lies.
9 :
No one actually listens to the person idolized. One hears what one wants to hear. It is just bad luck when our dreamings are shown to be futile and hollow and ourselves to be fools. And this is the hardest thing to accept.
10 :
I'm sorry, are you implying that people that don't like scandals whould vote for Hillary?....Now that is laughable.
11 :
he was ...6 years old in Indonesia. Hillary exercised good judgement when voting for the war? why didn't Clinton attend the Senate session on FISA?
12 :
Obama is the kind of person who can't dazzle people with brilliance so he baffles them with B.S!
13 :
They dont listen because they are obviously not interested in electing the best candidate, but rather are smitten with obama. If you ignore the racism, how do you ignore the antiamerican sentiment he has been listening to for 20 years. This is total disrespect for our military and the soliders who have given life and limb for the freedom we enjoy in this country. I find that unforgivable. And the lies obama has been telling are quite disturbing. A grown man lieing like a little kid, even worse he thinks the ignorant voters believe him.
14 :
If you are quoting for the sake of argument you should probably include sources. Especially since you weren't even able to get the name of a book right that you supposedly had "sitting right in front of you" in one of your last posts. You are on of the least credible posters on this site. Quotes mean very little taken out of context. For example: I can show you a video of Hillary Clinton saying, "...I believe in white supremacy..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkUH_ktWy44&feature=related However, if you see the quote in context you realize she isn't proclaiming this, but rather talking about someone else saying it. You see quotes out of context are meaningless, and certainly not a basis for argument. This is why it is imperative, for your own ability to convince people, that you include a source where people can check up for themselves that the quotes do indeed show what you are trying to convince people of. You are doing your own arguments a disservice by not including the source.
15 :
BECAUSE WE WANT CHANGE UNLIKE URSELF YOU JUST LIKE WATCHING OUR HEROS FIGHT FOR 300 YEARS AND NEVER FIND NOTHING!
16 :
It takes an intelligent mind to study other books besides the ones they were raised to read, then formulate their own lives accordingly.
17 :
Trying to take specifics out of context does not work. If Sen. Obama is guilty of anything it is his failure to understand how rude - crude - and racist people in America can still be..
18 :
I am not an Obama supporter, but I do feel that we have to give credit to those who deserve it. I have seen worse politicians than Obama and they made it in politics. So, why chop his head off? The point is that Obama is learning from his mistakes unlike some other folks in high positions who don't learn from their mistakes....

Thank you for listing all of this. Both him and his wife are closet racists. Their church is a separtist church: www.tucc.org that states #4 of their mission: "A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA. " Great, just what I want, a president with a NON-NEGOTIABLE COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
2 :
A thinking person would need to see these quotes in context. Give me the whole paragraph, not just the part you find "interesting"
3 :
1. you have no proof obama said this 2. you have no link 3. you already say report you. so i did
4 :
i think he wrote those books trying to establish he was black enough. now he's trying to establish he's not too black. what amazes me is that he wrote his memoirs in his 30s - what arrogance!
5 :
thing is...he IS 1/2 white, 1/2 black. He cannot feel animosity towards one race, I think, since that blood IS in him! It's like hating himself... Plus he always talks nice about his WHITE mom who rised him almost alone! I understand she has passed away from cancer a while back. His dad abandoned him, imagine how that must feel. He also talkes a lot about how he was also raised by his WHITE maternal grandparents (along with his mom).
6 :
The guy obviously has some animosity towards his white half. These people here could see Obama sipping wine with Osama bin laden and still would ask you for proof he's a muslim. Those are quotes from his books. Buy them to see your proof.
7 :
I can't as they are taken out of context and without the rest of the paragraph or sometimes even a chapter they are not meant to be stand alone statements and cannot be explained without the rest of the story. Why would this question be a reportable one? I didn't think it was.
8 :
I got a great idea...vote for the other GUY!
9 :
Damm, if you spend more then 3 seconds looking at all the quotes it's obvious he is doin his best to not focus on any one part of his heritage.
10 :
man who drop ring in tullet have crappy time
11 :
Anyone can post quotes, but in order to make an informed decision on what the quote means you have to give the context in which the quote was given/used. By posting quotes alone, without context, you are only attempting to degrading the person who made the statements. How low can that be?
12 :
Rovian techniques at its best.take a person word and twist and spin and turn it around for the purpose of negativity. We, the 70% of Americans that disapprove of the job GWB has done, which was shaped by Carl Rove, will no longer fall for this type of innuendo..Also remember that Obama supportors are highly educated..try sending this to Rush and his followers to be the sheep they were, to follow Bush.
13 :
Wow he studied the Koran....Goodness forbid they put someone in the White House who knows about the enemy the US is fighting. Much better we keep people ignorant of the rest of the world in power. 3rd term for Bush!!
14 :
You should report what he meant, not what he said. . . What?
15 :
yes we can !!!
16 :
No, I don't report. But it's almost impossible to understand any quote taken out of context. If you just took one line from one of the Amendments, it would be very difficult to understand the comprehensive thoughts prevailing. Remember when Hillary said ( in Nevada)..." No woman is illegal." People jumped all over that, but in context there was clarity. Nice try, dude, but this just doesn't fly.
17 :
No explaination needed, he's not right for this country. Perhaps overseas somewhere, he would be the perfect leader, but not here. Electing him would be even more moronic than GW's second term election. Funny how every person who doesn't care for him is called a racist, yet he basically insults white people and of course, it's okay. reverse racism at it's finest. and before you jump all over me, I'm married to a black man
18 :
Geez, you could have posted the whole book and these people would have said you took something out of context. Its funny isn't it?No matter how much PROOF you offer, some folks just simply refuse to see the truth. These will be the first ones in line to piss and moan after Obama is elected when their tax dollars are funding left wing special interests in Indonesia (or somewhere). What slays me is the fact that people insist that he isn't "playing the race card".What do you call it when he says even though hes half white, he refuses to "advertise it".Because if he did, he wouldn't be "making history" by being the first black Presidential candidate. That certainly seem s to be playing the race card to me.Or maybe I should call it the "black separatist card". In response to Spark My Thoughts:Obama supporters might be highly educated, but not one of them have been able to come up with an actual accomplishment from Obama. And this doesnt speak to their intelligence, only to his absolute lack of experience.

Obama supporters, Can you explain what these quotes from Obama's book mean

Obama supporters, Can you explain what these quotes from Obama's book mean?
“In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school” “I studied the Koran..” ” I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER’S RACE” “The emotion between the races could never be pure….. the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart.” “I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites” How am I taking anything out of context? I asked for supporters of Obama to explain what he was saying. I NEVER offered my oppinion of what they meant. Those in support of Obama that answered this are as defensive as someone who pulls out their race card. My point was definatly proven.

Basically..... white people suck.
2 :
Don't waste your time man, His supporters would follow him even if he confessed to murder. He is PERFECT in their eyes.
3 :
and you wonder why people say he is a racist! lol,how much do you need.nothing could be better than his own words.
4 :
He hates his white mother,Why because she is white.......
5 :
Obama and many other colored people hate the White race.
6 :
I've read the Koran too. Im not into religion crap, but I would say it is a better book to live your life by than the bible. Maybe you should educate yourself! ..and stop taking things out of text.
7 :
why are you taking Obama's words out of context? what ever point that you are trying to make, you have failed miserably
8 :
man some people are ignorant. The book is about how growing up barack came to reconcile being of mixed heritage. "Dreams from my Father", pertains to that conflict in his youth, and how he came to resolve it. He writes about how he romanticized the life of his absent black father who he never knew and resented his mother, and how growing up changed his views on things. Read the book. Don't just find a few quotes that describe a conflict he felt at the age of 13 and pass it off as views he holds right now. He wrote the book to document how he came to reconcile the issue of race in his life. Inspirations that had a profound affect on him. Read the book.
9 :
Obama, like many other black are racists towards any other race but their own. But the damn double standard we have doesn't allow for blacks to be "racists". Blacks can say whatever they want about the white race and no one will even notice. Now if a white person makes a racist remark towards blacks all hell breaks loose. Just for kicks, imagine that Hillary Clinton was half black (but looked more white than black) and she had written a book in which she would say "I ceased to advertise my mother's black race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that I was integrating myself to blacks" Or that she "found animosity against my mother's black race" The media would jump on it like flies to dung. But no, the media loves Mr. Obama (who the hell knows why), that guy is such a fake. Anyway, bottom line, he is a racist black that shouldn't even be running for office. Any white person with similar views towards the black race would never be allowed to run for president.
10 :
The quotes are true. The man is racist. Of course he is not going to broadcast that, AGAIN. David Duke even tried to minimize his racism and he was KKK.

Good question posed... why no Muslim outrage of the following

Good question posed... why no Muslim outrage of the following?
Muslims fly commercial airliners into buildings in New York City. No Muslim outrage. Muslim officials block the exit where school girls are trying to escape a burning building because their faces were exposed. No Muslim outrage. Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia. A Christian school. No Muslim outrage. Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Muslim children in Iraq. actually thats not true Shaykh Saalih al-Lehaydaan says deadly attacks in USA are a "terrible crime"... Shaykh Saalih al-Lehaydaan says (Friday 14 September, 2001) deadly attacks in USA are a "terrible crime"... The deadly attacks in the United States are a "terrible crime" which Islam does not accept and no one should applaud them, the head of Saudi Arabia's Islamic judiciary said in comments published Friday. "Killing a person who has not committed a crime is one of the major sins and terrible crimes... What happened in America is... undoubtedly a grave criminal act which Islam does not approve of and no one should applaud," Shaykh Saalih al-Lehaydaan mentioned. al-Lahaydaan, who is also a member of the Council of Senior Scholars in Saudi Arabia, said Islam strictly forbids bloodletting and does not condone the killing of innocent people, especially in a collective manner. Several Islamic groups and organisations have condemned Tuesday's attacks in New York and Washington, describing them as a "horrible and hideous act." Saudi Arabia, home to Islam's holiest sites, has condemned the jetliner suicide bombings and offered to help in the hunt for the perpetrators.

well, I dont think u should generalise a religion. there are black spots in all religions. howeverat the same time you cannot ignore these facts. At this time, when the whole community is under attack because of some fanatics, the muslim liberals should also come out. It is important, and it is unfortunately becoming necessary as there is the danger of all the muslims becoming typecast. The leaders of the religion are either fanatics or too weak, because of which there is a need for some to raise up their voices and probably put their lives in danger for the sake of their own religion.
5 :
An excellent question indeed. Muslims are just things who love war and bloodshed...(they are too inhumane to b called human)

that right the christian did half that they want hang them

Muslims are not bloody sick bastards u idiot. That is not what islam is about. Instead of saying muslims did this muslims did that say a group of people. How about I say priest are gay and rape little boys no outrage..It would be wrong because u cannot judge everyone from one persons action. The only reason why u r saying these things about muslims is because that is all u see in the news because that is what they try to portray muslims as. Grow up..In the next couple of years it will be another religion that we will be going to war with. First they we're killing black people then it was the jews now they are going to war with muslims..whose next? Who will the white man target next? I dont understand..Arent u ppl overjoyed when a muslim is killed? When bombs are thrown on muslim countries?
8 :
I've actually seen on pictures on-line that Muslims are overjoyed about September 11th, but there are killers in every religion.
9 :
it doesn't show you what islam is really about. what about all the islamic people who are fighting in our army? i'm sure they are plenty outraged, dont assume that just because someone doesn't start a riot that means that they aren't completely against the horrible things done in their God's name. The real reason the sensible muslims didn't start a riot after 9/11, even though they were horrified, is because they are sensible. and the reason the muslims that aren't sensible did start a riot after the cartoon is because they aren't sensible
10 :
good job. so you been collecting all the negative thing about islam. i dare you to show the positive side of Islam. but no way. there is no different between you and the media. that's exactly what media is trying to do .
11 :
Urm..dear sir..how do u know that the person who killed the children (christian in indonesia) was muslim? did the television show u the process of the killing, no right? dont just the tele tell u this and that u took it by heart. For e.g. what had happen in Iraq when people said the muslim kidnapped the reporters etc..how can u tell that the person behind the mask is a muslim? just because he spoke arabic so he's a muslim? what about a christian who lived in egypt, doesnt he speak arabic too? Plus nowadays people can converse in arabic fluently if they took up arabic class. Sir i hope that u and other (both muslim and christian) stop being a racist of religion. Start respecting other people religion as it will help us to make world a better place to live in. world PEace
12 :
I think you make a fabulous point! I am NOT Muslim however, I had to take a class on world religions in college and I just wanted to share with you what I learned. The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)-(note the verse number) Koran (9:11 ) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace!
13 :
Not only do they not oppose these things, They celebrate in the streets when Jews or Christians are killed. They go into ecstatic frenzies & celebrate by shooting guns in the air & they have their pictures taken with the corpses. They do NOT have a religion of peace. They do NOT respect life. They do NOT show tolerance for other religions. If they did; then why are church bells forbidden in Islamic countries? Why do they prohibit Jews from going onto the Temple Mound?
14 :
They usually point out a few Americanized Muslim cleric's voicing concern about these things but fail to realize if Muslims reacted to all these insidious crimes by Muslims GLOBALLY like they did with those stupid cartoons of Muhammad - if they with one voice condemned with outrage these beheadings THEN the world might be convinced Islam was really a religion of peace. Instead all you get is a few voices with the weight of whispering in a closed room so they don't offend the violent of Islam. There are indeed some Muslims who would like peace - but the violent ones are having their way. The peaceful are negated by the violent ones.
15 :
I think it's similar to the Christian response -- they weren't "real" Muslims. "Real" Christians weren't Crusaders "Real" Christians never slaughtered heretics "Real" Christians didn't ship Jews, gypsies, the handicapped, etc. to concentration camps where they could be used as slave labor and burned in ovens. In both cases, they may not have been "real" Muslims/Christians, but they allowed it to happen. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing." Edmund Burke
16 :
Muslims are on the receiving end of practically all the wars going on in the world today, why is the world not outraged? The only reason why I bordered to answer this undeniably skewed question is to set the records straight as regards karen's answer to the Question....I hope she gets to read it. The Holy Quran Chapter 9, verse 11 has nothing to do with any eagle: it states.... ..But if they repent, establish regular prayers, and pay Zakah, they are your brethren in Faith: thus do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand. Quran 9, verse 11. I wonder where she gets that quote from , It is definitely not a verse of the Holy Quran.
17 :
I think that before we spek to this problem we should all take a serious look at all of todays religions. Questions to be answered: 1. What religion spreads through violent behavior? 2. Out of all of todays conflics, what religion is at the heart of most. 3. What religion teaches peace and is based upon 1500 years of written history. You don't see Christian or Jews or Hindu or Buddist or even athiest going around behedding people in the name of their God. Muslims do these things. Basically we are looking for the truth....God gives it to us daily if we listen.
18 :
Thanks for the clarification Zaki. I read that translation and was about to post the correction myself when I read your post. Now about setting the record straight. I don't think a paragraph on this forum is going to set any record straight. Smarter people have spent lives trying to reconcile the religions of the world and we are still we are where we are. Christ said who ever is innocent he should cast the first stone. So lets see if we can blame all the Muslims and Islam for the actions of a few and we can say that the Quran tells Muslims to kill Christians and Jews, then lets also blame all Christians for the actions of the few bad one and Christianity as well. Lets also look at the Bible about how it tells Christians that the Jews killed Christ and what sort of persecution that engenders. Also the Talmud Tractate Sanhedrin 107b says that “Jesus performed magic and incited the people of Israel and led them astray.” According to these Jewish texts, Jesus was executed for religious crimes and offenses that mattered to Jews. But wait before everyone starts getting defensive my point is not to blame everyone or point out the negative. My point is that everything comes with the good and the bad. Christianity has helped millions, heck billions of people around the world and over time. It has improved the human condition and so has Judaism. Believe it or not so has Islam. Remember the dark ages, when Europe was nothing but a back water of the world. All the enlightenment and learning and tolerance was actually in the Islamic world. Heck Baghdad isn't called the cradle of civilization for no reason. In Europe however, people were burned at the stake for opposing the church, later still protestants were persecuted, Spanish inquisition and much more. Not really much point in listing all that. And now that the enlightenment is centered in a different part of the world we go throwing aspersions on the rest of the world. Here is what history teaches us. If you get arrogant and lazy and begin to consider yourself better than others. You are on the express train to oblivion. The Romans thought all those who weren't from rome were 'barbarians', the Nazi’s thought all those who were not from them were lesser than them. I guess those barbarians showed those Romans and those playboy yanks showed those superior race folks. Not so long ago the general idea was that women weren't as smart or as capable. Even lesser time ago the idea was the blacks were somehow less than human. You see where I am going. If you pass a simple judgment that those people are just crazy or evil you are actually weakening yourself.
19 :
They don't show outrage, because for them it is completely normal all of the above

As a person from a developing nation who is moving to the west, would you consider Japan instead

As a person from a developing nation who is moving to the west, would you consider Japan instead?
As most are aware, Japan is begining to slowly lighten its immagration laws as the population ages. Many people from Indonesia for example are moving to Japan to become nurses, along with Japan being just as developed as the west. If you were/are a person moving to a developed country from a developing country in Asia would you consider Japan over the major western nations such as Australia, New Zealand, UK, US and Canada? On the account that the airfares would most likely be cheaper aswell then flying to any western country. Yes there it may be harder to fit into Japanese society then say in Australia where it is already very multicutural but ignoring all that, purely down to quailty of life...would you choose Japan over the west?

These nurses are on temporary work permits and will never be allowed to be permanent residents. Japan takes very few permanent immigrants and there has to be a proven reason how they will imprive the country. It is essentially impossible for a person from a developing country to get Japanese immigration.
2 :
Go to Japans immigration website and look into the regulations as you cannot just move there and find a job without the necessary documents. You cannot even get thru immigration except as a tourist unless you have a employer sponsoring you.99

You're wrong. There was very widespread outrage at all of these (9/11, Beslan massacre, Egypt, Bali, London Tube bombings etc.). There were emphatic and explicit condemnations from imams and ambassadors and throughout the community. Unless you spend your life plugged into Fox or Rush Limbaugh, you must have noticed that. Try representative media. Your question is more like: Why is the scale of the objections disproportionate? Also this claim is wrong: "Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge." They were in fact 4 American mercenaries contracting for Blackwater USA at Fallujah. Not civilians. 'Soon after the four U.S. "civilian contractors" died in Fallujah, it became obvious they weren't "civilians" at all. All four were trained commandos--at least three had years of experience in elite U.S. military units. They were working for the private mercenary army called "Blackwater USA." All were heavily armed. One carried a Department of Defense ID card. The official story is that these heavily armed mercenaries were in Fallujah to "protect food shipments." But that day, there were no "food shipments" in sight. The Marines had just gone door-to-door arresting men for interrogation--and so there has been speculation in Fallujah that these commandos were on a mission to capture or assassinate people fingered as part of the resistance.'

The REAL Birther Conspiracy

The REAL Birther Conspiracy?
Perhaps the real conspiracy behind the Obama Birth Certificate is that he actually IS a bona fide natural-born citizen of Hawaii PRETENDING not to be one, littering the world with false clues to distract the rabid right. While birthers are endless debating the nuances of Kenyan translations and Hawaiian registry law, perusing newspapers from 1961, going door-to-door in Honolulu looking for 80-year old obstetricians and nurses, combing class notebooks from Indonesia, and analyzing watermarks while a motley crew of lawyers who barely agree on what conspiracies they actually subscribe to file competing suits across the country, Obama and his team are snickering in the lunch room. "Is it time to show the seal on the short form? My home scanner did a great job of muddying out the type and flattening the folds." "Tell Gates to rescind Major Cook's orders and watch them think we're on the run." Pure entertainment value for them. They're confidant that it's really a non-issue that will make the Republican Right look like buffoons for another 6 months or more. Is this the REAL conspiracy? Some of the more intelligent conservatives are beginning to think so. I erred in not pointing out the obvious sarcasm in this question. By the way, I have been a registered Republican since long before many of you were born. I am NOT a Liberal. I am, however, convinced that people should 1. Look at source documents, 2. Stop parroting partisans on either side, and 3. think for themselves. I used to believe Americans were intelligent enough to do so. I still have hope.

6 :
Birthers? And if that was the case, then your president is playing political games and spending a lot of money for nothing. Some of the more intelligent conservatives? Get a grip--veiled insults are still insults. Tell us why he doesn't show the actual certificate...not the COLB. If you have nothing to hide, you don't hide. *back...who mentioned race? no one...seems like you are the racist here. By the way--nobody buys into the racism attack as a method of silencing your opposition anymore. Keep trying..but it's just you crying wolf. I don't care what color the man is--he is destroying this country. You apparently seem to care what color he is. *bigfoot is correct--Hillary first brought it to light, and the first suit was brought by a Dem lawyer who was in the DNC for a long time!
7 :
No, don't change the subject, you filthy lib. Your man won't even show his birth certificate. Why????????????? And it's not Republicans trying to prove the eligibility of the President of the USA by dragging up old birth announcements in the newspaper. It's liberals. Aren't you embarrassed what Obama turned this country into, going through old newspapers because he's keeping information from Americans? Because you're wrong, L Saint, it hasn't been released.
8 :
I think you might be onto something. While there might be a lunatic fringe on both sides of the isle, this situation highlights a minority group of right wing nut jobs. Thus, it casts the GOP in an unflattering light. By the way, his birth certificate has been released. the right refuses to acknowledge it for some reason. I am pretty sure there is nothing you could possibly do to get them to take the tin foil hats off at this point.
9 :
He is paying a lot of someone's money to prevent releasing his long form original birth certificate. Are we supposed to believe he is doing this to "punk" the country, and that any minute now, Ashton Kutcher is going to come out of hiding and laugh at everyone? THAT is a stretch.
10 :
And that's why he apparently spent over half a million dollars sealing records, lol... EDIT: If Obama is correct and he has nothing to hide, why did he spend all that money to seal his records. Who is really the stupid one? - Libertarian
11 :
Dude, Obama doesn't care about this stuff. Hawaii has verified his birth there. BTW, why do the Right constant lie about Obama taking pains to "seal' is birth certificate? No one has to seal their birth certificate, transcripts, medical record, etc. They are sealed by law.
12 :
ll other issues aside, Barack is one of us because his mom was a full blown AMERICAN CITIZEN. Nobody has denied that absolute FACT! I bring this up because American law is clear on this issue.....if you have a single parent who IS an American citizen, it doesn't matter where on Earth, the moon or in what parallel universe you're born...YOU are an AMERICAN CITIZEN!!! In fact, it doesn't even matter if you don't have a birth certificate...all that matters is that one of your parents has citizenship. Barack's mom was an AMERICAN, so therefore our president is also a natural born citizen of our country. Please pass the word on this!
13 :
This whole "Obama's not an American" gambit has gone from hilarious to ok give it up. He is an American by birth and all of those who disagree ought to be embarrassed at their lack of intelligence. If Obama really was born in another country, the Clinton machine would have blown his cover in the primaries. Our President was born in our country under our laws. He is one of us.
14 :
I like your last line, but hope is dwindling, too many people listen to talk radio and mistake opinions of the people for "facts" and they never go farther than that. If you only get your information from one source, then you are going to make many many false assumptions. Whether you agree or not, people really should listen to both sides of an issue, so as to make a somewhat informed decision. People are all too willing to let someone else do their thinking and then claim whatever ideology is being spouted as their own without really knowing what the hell they are even talking about. But to get off my original rant and actually answer the birther conspiracy joke, it is hard not laugh at the stupidity of it all, even Bill O'Reilly said he was convinced Obama's citizenship was valid. Do these people really think the US Gov't didn't examine his records when it became apparent he was going to be in national politics? And how about the DNC, before throwing their weight behind him wouldn't you think he would have been thoroughly investigated? To these people I would advise they actually find some issues to be concerned with (for a change). Why waste time on such a stupid thing, unless that is all they are capable of focusing on.
15 :
The birth certificate issue is a non-sequituer issue. If there were any truth or evidence remotely challenging Obama's eligibility, the civil suits would have been filed the minute he became the Dem's nominee. I agree that the radical right wing idiots keep dragging it out. I say, "Shit, Piss or get off the pot" and file the cases.

What do you think will happen to Japan in the future

What do you think will happen to Japan in the future?
everyone knows that the Japanese population is aging and alot of people in Japan are against mass immigration( i mean who wouldn't be?). do you see the Japanese birth rate rising sometime in the future? ( i think the Japanese government should start giving out allowances for people who have kids [ if they haven't already] to make raising a child in one of the most expensive countries in the world easier) do you see the imports of workers(mainly nurses) from countries like Indonesia, Korea, China, etc.? do you think that one day Japan will become multicultural? how do you think Japan will deal with it & what do you think the solution should be?
Japan - 6 Answers

1 :
I believe that Japan will follow the German model. That a person who comes over will not be an immigrant, but a guest worker. And that these people will not be allowed to become citizens. I would also not be surprised if there was a time limit placed on how long they can stay, I think that Japan had lost enough of it's culture to outside influences, and they will not wish to lose any more.
2 :
Giving out child allowances won't solve the problem. Japan has been raising children just fine for the last 100 years, no doubt why it has the 10th largest population in the world. It is not about the money. The infrastructure needs to be changed if you want change. Japan has long working hours, more companies need allow maternity leave and support, more day care centers need to be built, finding a day care in Japan has a waiting list a hundred miles long. Women are more independent and putting off marriage until later in life as well. Japan has started allowing nurses from Indonesia come in, Japan has allowed nurses from the Philippines come to Japan for some while now. As the population ages, they might allow more nurses. There is no clear cut solution on solving the slow birth rate, if infrastructure and the environment is changed then you might see a change, but just handing out money isn't going to solve the problem.
3 :
Japanese population won't be back to the past high peak level. It was unusually too much for the limited land space. On the contrary, it will be becoming more reasonable population around 60 millions or so in next century as same as about 100 years ago. Because of the high technology influenced on the secondary industry there, Japan has no longer to need a lot of blue colored and white colored labors there. In addition, It declares the renunciation of war. The country doesn't need to grow its number of self-diffenced armies either. Importing nurse/care giver from Asian countries won't work at all because the condition requires native level Japanese skill, that is tottaly bullshit and the payment is not so attaractive against the restricted possible labors. Decreasing population will help not to exhaust their limited natural resource in short. Japanese may have serious difficulties on their social security near future, but it means wise and strong always gets its own survival of the fittest in the world. Japan won't want to be the police or dictator of the world. It will be just a calm, medium, matured, intellectual and ethnic-homogenious country in Asia.
4 :
The government has already given money to families with kids. I got about 50,000 yen ($500) for my two kids. And there are at least plans for future payments. Don't know if that will actually happen. You can't contribute to over population just to ensure that you have someone to pay for the elderly. IMHO, you bite the bullet, do what must be done to solve that problem and try to have a lower population overall. As for the import of workers, I don't see them using foreigners for that kind of work. Native speakers are going to get those jobs.

>do you see the Japanese birth rate rising sometime in the future? You need to think about the difference between birth "rate" and birth "number". As the "2nd baby boomer"(those who were born 1971-74) will come out of birth age (20-40) soon, the birth "number" of Japan will never increase even if birth "rate" increases a bit. Because the number of women in birth age will decrease a lot. >i think the Japanese government should start giving out allowances for people who have kids The government is already giving about $150 for each kid every month. I don't think this will increase birth rate, though. It's not a matter of money. >do you see the imports of workers(mainly nurses) from countries like Indonesia, Korea, China, etc.? Japan is already inviting nurses and caregivers from Philippines and Indonesia. I think this kind of project will increase in the future. >how do you think Japan will deal with it & what do you think the solution should be? No solution without abandoning humanitarian value
6 :
To me it's obvious that the population of Japan is graying, with less younger people and more older people. And I don't think this is going to change, despite the Japanese government's current system of giving money to families when a new child is born, handing out monthly child allowances, or providing free medical costs for children up to a certain age. It's not just about money, although that is a BIG reason. People's mindsets are changing. Many people just don't want to get married anymore. Or they want to hold off on marriage until later. Or they just can't find Mr. or Ms. Right. This perhaps creates the problem of a shortage of workers. What I think needs to be done is to raise the retirement age (currently 60 years). People are (in general) living longer and healthier than before, and to allow them to work after 60 is one solution to the declining work force. As for the issue of immigration, it's good and it's bad. To be sure, it adds numbers to the work force, but at the expense of the many Japanese who are out of a job or underemployed. My opinion is to limit the number of immigrants, while increasing job-training programs for Japanese people. As for Japan becoming multicultural, I see it happening, but gradually. The number of international marriages is increasing. But not all stay in Japan, of course. Many of the big cities in Japan are already multicultural, but again, it's on a much smaller scale than say, major American cities.

Anybody has suggestion or information about this?

If it is similar to Qatar, She basically comes in through your visa, and she doesn't need special permits to work, but she can only work part time. They are pretty lenient about that, but if she wants to work full time, she will have to go through the paperwork. Again, this is based on neighboring Qatar. A nurse may require special registration, but she could clearly work at a hospital in some capacity. I hope that at least gives you some perspective.

After this try to get employment Visa of your choice and get into the job .

What do you think of today's speech by President Obama, to student around the country

What do you think of today's speech by President Obama, to student around the country?
" Prepared Remarks of President Barack Obama Back to School Event Arlington, Virginia September 8, 2009 The President: Hello everyone – how’s everybody doing today? I’m here with students at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. And we’ve got students tuning in from all across America, kindergarten through twelfth grade. I’m glad you all could join us today. I know that for many of you, today is the first day of school. And for those of you in kindergarten, or starting middle or high school, it’s your first day in a new school, so it’s understandable if you’re a little nervous. I imagine there are some seniors out there who are feeling pretty good right now, with just one more year to go. And no matter what grade you’re in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer, and you could’ve stayed in bed just a little longer this morning. I know that feeling. When I was young, my family lived in Indonesia for a few years, and my mother didn’t have the money to send me where all the American kids went to school. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, Monday through Friday – at 4:30 in the morning. Now I wasn’t too happy about getting up that early. A lot of times, I’d fall asleep right there at the kitchen table. But whenever I’d complain, my mother would just give me one of those looks and say, "This is no picnic for me either, buster." So I know some of you are still adjusting to being back at school. But I’m here today because I have something important to discuss with you. I’m here because I want to talk with you about your education and what’s expected of all of you in this new school year. Now I’ve given a lot of speeches about education. And I’ve talked a lot about responsibility. I’ve talked about your teachers’ responsibility for inspiring you, and pushing you to learn. I’ve talked about your parents’ responsibility for making sure you stay on track, and get your homework done, and don’t spend every waking hour in front of the TV or with that Xbox. I’ve talked a lot about your government’s responsibility for setting high standards, supporting teachers and principals, and turning around schools that aren’t working where students aren’t getting the opportunities they deserve. But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, and the best schools in the world – and none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities. Unless you show up to those schools; pay attention to those teachers; listen to your parents, grandparents and other adults; and put in the hard work it takes to succeed. And that’s what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education. I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself. Every single one of you has something you’re good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That’s the opportunity an education can provide. Maybe you could be a good writer – maybe even good enough to write a book or articles in a newspaper – but you might not know it until you write a paper for your English class. Maybe you could be an innovator or an inventor – maybe even good enough to come up with the next iPhone or a new medicine or vaccine – but you might not know it until you do a project for your science class. Maybe you could be a mayor or a Senator or a Supreme Court Justice, but you might not know that until you join student government or the debate team. And no matter what you want to do with your life – I guarantee that you’ll need an education to do it. You want to be a doctor, or a teacher, or a police officer? You want to be a nurse or an architect, a lawyer or a member of our military? You’re going to need a good education for every single one of those careers. You can’t drop out of school and just drop into a good job. You’ve got to work for it and train for it and learn for it. And this isn’t just important for your own life and your own future. What you make of your education will decide nothing less than the future of this country. What you’re learning in school today will determine whether we as a nation can meet our greatest challenges in the future. You’ll need the knowledge and problem-solving skills you learn in science and math to cure diseases like cancer and AIDS, and to develop new energy technologies and protect our environment. You’ll need the insights and critical thinking skills you gain in history and social studies to fight poverty and homelessness, crime and discrimination, and make our nation more fair and more free. You’ll need the creativity and ingenuity you develop in all your classes to build new companies that will create new jobs and boost our economy. We need every single one of you to develop your talents, skills and intellect so you can help solve our most difficult problems. If you don’t do that – if you qu

wow, inflammatory brainwashing i'd say. (not) A chance to hear our president speak is an opportunity. agree or disagree, rational discussion beats the crazed reactions of paranoid people.
2 :
IF he sticks to just that. I am fine with it. I am fine with someone telling our kids that school is important. I DO NOT think its ok for him to talk about polotics though.
3 :
This is not ALL he was planning on saying. In fact, if conservatives hadn't been outraged, he would have gotten away with adding a curriculum which included having students write "how they can be of service to our president." SERVICE TO THE PRESIDENT? He's supposed to SERVE US, NOT the other way around. That's indoctrination number 1. This whole thing is creepy as all get-out. And I'll bet you it was only the first in a string of speeches he had planned on giving to the students, if not for the efforts of conservatives getting it stopped. And, if you listen to the creepy pledge that those idiot actors have put out, yeah, most of it sounds innocuous or even a good idea, BUT they sure did pepper their own politics into it ... and of course, there's that pledge to serve our president b.s. It's simply wrong wrong wrong, and if a conservative and/or Republican president had done it, YOU'D hate it too.
4 :
check out how Pres' Reagan and Bush did it in '88 and '91. I'm sure it''' be just as boring for the kiddies.
5 :
Sounds like basic common sense. I don't see what all the uproar is about.
6 :
Unfortunately, the Republicans can't come up with legislation as great as there ability of making mountains out of mole hills. Since January, there only agenda has been to try to obstruct and complain about everything that the President does. When you mention to them that the economy is improving, they start talking about the weather.
7 :
Wow. Thanks for sharing. Much Ado about Nothing. Just as I thought. The President of the United States would never brainwash the children. I wish some grown folks, would grow up. Have a good day.
8 :
One answer mentioned the word "creepy". Correct, some of these answers are "creepy". How they can take a speech, encouraging children to get a good education etc. and pull it apart is mind boggling. Why are some people so fearful of everything around them, why are they paranoid, when something good can be seen if only they look. Being negative and fearful seems to be something that anti-Obama fans enjoy which in itself shows them for what they really are. Scared, frustrated, judgemental, paranoid individuals who probably live their whole lives like that. What a shame. What a waste of a life. How sad.
9 :
I think its cool for him to recognize the importance of education and try to emphasize it to the youth. Some of the kids in school right now will be the leaders of tomorrow. It benefits us all to have a highly educated population especially when our country's education is slipping. People who are getting all worked up should hear the speech again he didn't say anything wrong.

What career should I look into

What career should I look into?
I want to see the world. Every bit of culture and history that it has to offer. I am so fascinated by every culture that there is. I want to know everything about every group of people there is. I am especially fascinated by Eastern Countries, for some reason. I want to see Morocco, Italy, Indonesia, and my dream is to some day, move to Sri Lanka. I want to just run through puddles of mud with no shoes on, and not worry about buying the latest trends. I want to stand face to face with an elephant (I think). What I really dream of, is helping. Talking to, and caring for all Underdeveloped ethnic groups I can get my hands on. What I really want to do, is just know everything? I don't know, I'm just fascinated by Culture. So what career do you think that I should go into? I am in Nursing School, so do you think that I should just be a traveling nurse? HELPPPP!

As a nurse you could be very valuable to an NGO (Non Governmental Organization) like Doctors Without Borders. You could serve a couple years in the Peace Corps and see some of the world. There are lots of opportunities for health care workers, especially in the third world. You might consider taking a third-world language, like Arabic or Swahili or Urdu or Hindi.
2 :
Pilot or flight attendant or maybe world wide relief worker.

Is veil (Burqa) mandatory for Muslim women

Is veil (Burqa) mandatory for Muslim women?
Muslim Women take part in politics in most of the Islamic countries and engage in different occupations like doctors, nurses, lawyers, pilots etc. without wearing veil or burqa. Pakistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Turkey have had women as Head of State. Muslim women are free to take part in sports and engage in any profession they like. But some communities of Muslim who are in minority in most Islamic countries except Saudi Arabia wearing veil while going out is mandatory. Is it because of religious law or just old tradition?

Both religious law and tradition.
2 :
No - but in some regions no woman would leave home without it. EDITS:- I read somewhere that it's not religious law as such - but it's become tradition for many.
3 :
The on-going uprising in Middle east & North Africa is a sign they are tired of wearing it.
4 :
No. In fact it was never originally a Muslim tradition, but rather an Arab one.
5 :
The Muslim world is very diverse. These things depend on national laws. In Turkey, for example, a woman is not allowed to wear a hijab in a government building. In Saudi, women are not allowed out on the street unveiled. It all depends on where she is. Most modern-day burquas and abayas are made of polyester, and in China. Some people are adopting this more conservative interpretation of Islam (Wahabism).
6 :
The Quran tells women to cover up. Veils and burqas are up to the culture. Iran, before the Revolution in 1979, was a very liberal Islamic country and women didn't have to wear any covering. Now that the conservative Islamic clergy are in charge, they make the women wear burqas or else they will be beaten or killed.
7 :
Islam gives it as an option.... certain sick and twisted patriarchal Arab societies.....sets it as mandatory...against Islam's view set.....
8 :
It's just tradition. the Koran says that women (and men) should be modest in dress. It does not say women have to wear burqas.
9 :
Verse 033.059 translated by PICKTHAL: "O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognized and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful." If you hide the face recognition is not possible. So majority believes that hiding face completely is not mandatory. While going out overcoat or over garment is prescribed. Burqa is part of the old tradition. It is not mandatory. Modesty in dressing is prescribed and when going out wearing over garment in way that face is not hidden to make recognition impossible. Bohra community is conservative but their interpretation about Hijab is correct as they don Hijab when going out but do not hide face
10 :
Saudi women, and those married to Saudi men have to veil; there's no compromise, this includes those women married to non Saudis who make them do so. Concerning Saudi Arabia; first they say it's culture, then they turn around and say it's religion; I wish they'd make up their minds. I had a run in with one of their religious guys in the Dhahran mall a while back; first he said its our culture, so I told him I'm not Arab; all of a sudden, he changes his tactic and says it's the Quran; it's like; make up your mind why don't you, and that's exactly how I felt at the time. Here in Saudi Arabia you'll see female doctors and nurses veil; you'll even have a female teacher in a co-ed school veil.

Should America do what Japan is doing Immigrants worry as Japan discourages foreign workers

Should America do what Japan is doing Immigrants worry as Japan discourages foreign workers?
Maria Fransiska, a young, hard-working nurse from Indonesia, is just the kind of worker Japan would seem to need to replenish its aging work force. But Fransiska, 26, is having to fight to stay. To extend her three-year stint at a hospital outside Tokyo, she must pass a standardized nursing exam administered in Japanese, a test so difficult that only three of the 600 nurses brought here from Indonesia and the Philippines since 2007 have passed. So Fransiska spends 8 hours in Japanese language drills, on top of her day job at the hospital. Her dictionary is dog-eared from countless queries, but she is determined: Her starting salary of $2,400 (Rs.107,040) a month was 10 times what she could earn back home, and if she fails, she will never be allowed to return to Japan on the same programme again. “I think I have something to contribute here,” Fransiska said during a recent visit, spooning mouthfuls of rice and vegetables into the mouth of Heiichi Matsumaru, an 80-year-old patient recovering from a stroke. “If I could, I would stay here long-term, but it is not so easy.” Despite facing an imminent labour shortage as its population ages, Japan has done little to open itself up to immigration. In fact, as Fransiska and many others have discovered, the government is doing the opposite, actively encouraging both foreign workers and foreign graduates of its universities and professional schools to return home while protecting tiny interest groups—in the case of Fransiska, a local nursing association afraid that an influx of foreign nurses would lower industry salaries. http://www.livemint.com/2011/01/03233810/Immigrants-worry-as-Japan-disc.html?atype=tp

No - the US is not built on the same principles as Japan. Japan is a country that identifies itself by its homogeneous race, communal culture that sneers at individualism, and a closed society that is always suspicious of outsiders. The US is none of these things - and ought never to be. Plus, Japan is going to pay dearly for this demographic catastrophe waiting to happen - their population is projected to drop to barely 1/3 of its present number by the 22nd Century.
2 :
Yes. I know many people think that language "diversity" is a good thing. I also know many people that think they can drive just as well after a few drinks as they can cold sober. A national language is critical to the security of the United States. I'm not saying we shouldn't learn foreign languages, but that every citizen of the United States should be fluent in English, and that only English should be used in tests and official documents of the United States. I expect criticism. But, think on this: language is SO DIVISIVE it is what was used by God at the Tower of Babel to scatter humanity!!! Seems to have worked pretty good too. I really don't give a @#$% how "politically correct" it is. If the United States is to remain strong and unified we MUST adopt an official language!
3 :
If you think they are calling us racists and xenophobes now, just imagine if we did adopt the Japanese approach! Rod's answer makes perfect sense and I couldn't agree more.
4 :
No. US and Japan are different. And I don't understand this concept of labor shortage considering their unemployment rates. College graduates are having a hard time finding work. How is encouraging immigration going to remedy that? BTW, Japan has problems with illegal immigrants too. They have Chinese as their primary illegal immigrants. For America, we should not discourage immigration as long as it's legal.
